Overview:
MidWinter is one of two annual events hosted by the Red Wing Collectors Society. CrockFest is held each summer, and MidWinter is held midway through the winter. Make your plans now to join the RWCS for another great MidWinter event from January 29th – 31st, 2026 at the Holiday Inn Northwest 4800 Merle Hay Rd, Des Moines, Iowa.
MidWinter promises to give attendees a fun-filled weekend, with most of the sponsored activities under one roof. Guests will enjoy three days of over 40 Room Sellers, Educational Workshops, Social Events, Antique Show and Sale along with a 250+ piece Auction. The Auction is open to the Public. * Attendees are also encouraged to explore the many antique shops near the hotel. Non Members pay 20% buyers premium.
Thursday, January 29:
Badge pickup begins Thursday from 2pm – 4 pm. The Mini Show & Sale kicks off the weekend from 3:00pm – 5:00 pm. Vendors who are part of this show are setting up exclusively for this event and items will only be available during this time. Be sure and check out this popular event in the Minnesota Room located on the ground floor of the hotel. Room sales officially kick off on Thursday morning throughout the hotel; however, many room sales will open on Wednesday (Jan 28).
Friday, January 30:
Friday morning starts early with Badge pickup and Onsite Registration opening at 8:00 am. Friday is Education Day with workshops running throughout the day. Follow us on Facebook @ Red Wing Collectors Society, Inc for the latest updates on speakers and additional events. The Keynote this year “Creating the pottery we love, from the past to the present” featuring Ephraim Pottery and Potter Mike Robinson begins at 5:00 pm directly followed by a fantastic Happy Hour with appetizers and a live pottery wheel demonstration by Ephraim Pottery to wrap up the day.
Saturday, January 31:
Member badge pickup and registration in the lobby at 8:00 am. The finale of the event is a 200+ piece Auction at 10:00am Saturday morning in the ballroom of the Holiday Inn. Preview begins for members at 8:00am and the public is at 9:00am.
Auction is OPEN TO THE PUBLIC*.
Non Members pay 20% buyers premium.
